The Pacific Amateur Golf Classic is a three-day, 54-hole stroke-play tournament, culminating in playoff competition at Sunriver Resort's Crosswater Golf Course.
Every registered participant is guaranteed one round of your tournament play on Sunriver Resort’s nationally renowned Crosswater Course, ranked in the Top 100 Courses You Can Play by both Golf Digest and Golf Magazine. Whether or not you qualify for the Championship Round at Crosswater; just by entering the PacAm you’ll have the opportunity to play this world-class course. The three-day, net, stroke-play tournament takes place on the three Sunriver Resort golf courses including; Crosswater, Meadows, and Woodlands. The PacAm offers divisions for golfers of every skill level including: the Open/Gross Division for golfers looking to play without handicaps, multiple Competitive Net Divisions separated by age (Men, Senior Men, Mid-Senior, Super Senior, and Women).

The La Pine Lions Club presents Oktoberfest, 2019 on Sat., Sept. 28 to be held at the Rosland Campground off Burgess Rd. in La Pine. Gates open at 10 am and the festivities will continue until 6 pm. Activities include live music through out the day, the kiddy train, bouncy houses, free cotton candy, remote control car races, the High Lakes Car Club, Octoberfest glass mugs, best costume contest and much more! Food choices include Bavarian smoked brats, German potato salad, sauerkraut, giant pretzels and German chocolate cake with local brews from Sunriver Brewing Co. and Legend NW Cider Co. Admission is free and parking is plentiful. Proceeds from the event benefit local sight and hearing needs, local student scholarships, and local youth camp scholarships.
On Sat., Sept. 28, at 5 pm, author William Sullivan will be at the Sunriver Books and Music Store to present his book, The Ship in the Sand, a fascinating historic fiction, and slide show regrading the Vikings in Denmark and England. The Sunriver Resort's Fall Festival, two weekends of fun for the whole family, will take place on Oct. 5 & 6 and Oct 12 to 13. Bring the family anytime between the hours of 1 to 5 pm and explore the pumpkin patch, enjoy the hay rides, the hay maze, live music, pumpkin decorating, fall-inspired foods, drink specials, the petting zoo and shop the harvest marketplace. Help the Sunriver Firefighters' Drive for a Cure by participating in their golf tournament where 100% of the net proceeds go to benefit the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
