The Sunriver Fire and Rescue Department invites everyone in the community to to join them at one of their first of two Community Connection meetings to be held at the fire department in the SROA. Residents and business owners can learn about the Dept., tour the station (be sure to bring the kids), share ideas, and discuss fire safety and prevention. On Wed., April 25 from 5:30 to 7:20 pm, the fire Dept. will be open to the Residential Community. You can help celebrate this status by volunteering your help with the 12th Annual "Project Ponderosa" potting marathon to take place on Thur., April 26. Volunteer's are needed to assist and support the students and help with quality control. The Sunriver Books and Music Store will be hosting author Marie Bostwick on Sat., April 28, beginning at 5 pm. Bostwick will be previewing her latest novel, Just in Time, an uplifting story of three grief stricken women who become united in loss and rescued in friendship. The story is set in Portland. On Sat., May 5th, the Three Rivers School PTA will be hosting their biggest fundraiser of the year, the 8th Annual Spring Auction. To accommodate the larger attendance, the Cinco De Mayo themed event will be held at SHARC from 6 to 10 pm. The fundraiser helps the school with a variety of needs, including classroom supplies, special programs in STEAM, after school clubs, athletics and special field trips. The evening will feature an inspired dinner menu from Sunriver Brewing Co., entertainment by Dave & Melody Hill, live and silent auctions raffles, games and more.
