Marketing is essential for your business survival and growth. Your business needs to offer products and services that are unique if it is to stay ahead in the competitive marketplace. Marketing is the primary way to accomplish this and utilizing the "4 P's" should be an integral part of your marketing plan.

Product - You need to understand your potential customers needs and develop products and services to meet these needs.

Place - How can potential customers access your products and/or services? Do you have a convenient business location? Can they view your products and services on the Internet and order them on-line? Is your telephone system responsive and customer-friendly?

Price - It is important to put the correct value on your products and services so you are competitive in the marketplace but also profitable as a business.

Promotion - To effectively promote your business, you should consider your target market, what and where you want to promote, what resources you need, and the strategies needed for reaching your potential customers.

The Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce offers a wide range of promotional opportunities that assist its members in reaching their target markets.

EVENTS

Business After Hours - The Chamber's monthly business promotion and networking event. Held 5 to 7 pm on the third Tuesday of each month. After Hours showcases the host member's business. Host business provides refreshments and door prizes. Open to the public.

Business Forums - Education programs targeted to business owners and employees. Breakfast meetings, held twice quarterly. Event sponsorship of $300 includes use of sponsor banner, distribution of marketing materials, and a sponsor announcement at the event.

Community Forums - Information presentations designed to keep the general public abreast of issues that affect the greater Sunriver community. Held as needed. Open to the public. Event sponsorship of $300 includes use of sponsor banner, distribution of marketing materials, and a sponsor announcement at the event.

Ribbon-Cutting Ceremonies - Ribbon Cuttings celebrate and give market exposure to grand openings, anniversaries and other notable accomplishments of member businesses. Ribbon-Cuttings showcase a member's business. Open to the public.

Annual Breakfast - The Chamber's annual breakfast, held in March, recaps the year's accomplishments and recognizes the work of the Chamber's many volunteers. Sponsorships at various levels of support are available. Open to the public.

ADVERTISING & BUSINESS LISTINGS

All advertising and sponsorship fees must be paid prior to publication

Weekly E-News - This is the Sunriver Chamber's primary communications vehicle to its 200 members and their employees (500 total). Published each Monday morning, E-News highlights important up-to-date information in a news capsule format. Exclusive sponsorship at $200/month includes a front page acknowledgement of your sponsorship with your business name and logo, a descriptive paragraph about your business and/or services, and contact information. 10% discount for pre-paid annual contract (12 months).

Weekly E-Promotions - Each Friday morning, the Sunriver Area Chamber e-mails special member promotions to all Chamber members and others on its e-mail distribution list. This FREE e-mail marketing service helps Chamber members market their special promotions to a broader customer base. To have your promotion(s) included in the weekly broadcast, e-mail them to the Sunriver Area Chamber at info@sunriverchamber.com no later than 9 am on Friday. Your promotion must be in the form of a Microsoft Word, Excel or Publisher file, or Adobe PDF file, and will be broadcast as submitted.

Visitor Center - The Chamberâ€™s attractive Visitors Center is a one-stop shopping center for visitors, vacationers and residents looking for information about Sunriver and the local area. Chamber members may display their business cards and marketing brochures in the Center at no charge. Wall display advertising is available at $100 per month for a 2 x 4 ft ad. 10% discount for pre-paid annual contract (12 months).

Printed Sunriver Visitor Guide (Sunriver Magazine) - Published annually in the spring, this is Sunriver's premier fulfillment piece for visitor inquiries. The magazine is published by Cascade Publications, Inc. and lists all business members and their contact information free of charge. Chamber members also receive a substantial discount on advertising in the publication. More than 30,000 copies are distributed to Sunriver property owners, visitors and vacationers and are placed in state visitor/welcome centers and other Chambers of Commerce throughout Oregon. Advertising in the directory is available through the publisher, Cascade Publications, Inc.

WEB SITE ADVERTISING

There are more than 40,000 visits to the Sunriver Chamber's web site annually. This high volume of visitors to our site ensures that your web advertising message realizes its full potential as a marketing tool for your business.

Level 1 Banner Ad - The Home Page is the first page visited on our web site and is the primary advertising position. Sponsorship of $175/month includes a banner ad with hot link to your web site; rotates every 6 seconds with other banner ads. Also includes an additional banner ad on a Level 2 or 3 web page and a Highlight Box with 25-word description in the Business Directory. 10% discount for pre-paid annual contract (12 months).

Level 1 Scrolling Logo - The bottom of the Home Page provides an opportunity for advertisers to place their company logo and hyperlink in a highly visible location at minimal cost. For just $75 per month, your full color logo will scroll along the bottom of our Home Page with the logos of other advertisers. (These are not banner ads per se, so no advertising copy is permitted.) 10% discount for pre-paid annual contract (12 months).

Level 2 Banner Ad - These web site pages are accessed by clicking on the tabs at the top of the web page. They are the next most frequently visited pages and are an excellent way of marketing your business at a lower cost. Choose from: Our Community, Visitor Information, Relocation Information, Start a Business. Business Directory, and Chamber Information. Sponsorship of $125/month includes a banner ad with hot link to your web site; rotates every 6 seconds with other banner ads. 10% discount for pre-paid annual contract (12 months).

Level 3 Banner Ad - These web site pages are accessed by clicking on the keywords listed under QUICKLINKS on the right side of each web page. They are the most economical way of targeting your advertising message to specific areas of interest. Choose from any Level 3 web page. Sponsorship of $100/month includes a banner ad with hot link to your web site; rotates every 6 seconds with other banner ads. 10% discount for pre-paid annual contract (12 months).

Web Business Directory Enhanced Listing - Choose a Highlight Box for your free listing in the web site's Business Directory and grab the viewer's attention as they search for products and services. Enhanced listings appear at the top of search results. Listing enhancement fee of $120/year includes a colored highlight box around your listing plus a 25 to 50-word description of your business. A photo or your logo can be added for an additional one-time fee of $25. Pre-paid annual contract only (12 months).

Members can be listed under two business categories in the Directory as part of their basic membership in the Chamber. Additional category listings are $25 each per year.

POLICIES -

Advertising is sold on a first-come, first-served basis. First right of refusal is given to
renewing advertisers for their positions.
Advertiser is responsible for providing all advertising materials, including logos, ads &
copy.
Pre-payment of all advertising fees is required before displaying or posting advertising.
Sunriver Area Chamber of Commerce reserves the right to reject and/or remove
advertising materials from its web site that it deems inappropriate in any way.

SPECIFICATIONS -

Banner Ads - Graphic file format must be jpg or gif. Size is 383 x 119 pixels at 72 dpi.
No flash media. Size of scrolling logos is approximately 50 to 75 pixels square at
72 dpi.
Business Directory Listing Logos & Photos - Graphic file format must be jpg or gif.
Logo and photo size is 180 x 180 pixels max at 72 dpi. No flash media.
